Passport IQ Is a Game Changer

Two must have electronic devices for any road warrior is a sensitive radar detector that will warn you of approaching speed traps and a GPS device to help direct you to your destination. Now Escort Inc has bundled both of these devices and more into one unit, the Escort Passport IQ.

Escort is known for their high end radar detectors and their engineers have been able to integrate their high performance M3 antenna design from their popular Escort 9500ix into the five inch display of their GPS navigation unit.

The detector mode packs plenty of options such as Smart Filtering where the detector is able to sniff out common false alert locations thus reducing false alerts, a Photo Enforcement database that will alert you of approaching red light and fixed photo radar cameras, Expert Mode which will display up to four simultaneous radar alerts from their Defender database.

On the GPS side the Passport IQ is a full featured GPS navigation system that utilizes the NAVTEQ database and mapping system providing easy to understand turn by turn guidance on a full five inch touch screen monitor.

In addition to all of this Escort is also planning on future functionability with real time traffic updates, Bluetooth hands free calling and more!

In our real world driving test and review of the Passport IQ over the past several months logging over 2000 miles the IQ never missed a beat. In side by side comparison the IQ outperformed the Escort 8500 on range and sensitivity.

Clear the clutter from your dashboard with this economical all in one device.
